Brooklyn

Page history last edited by PBworks 16 years, 11 months ago

Jenny and James live in Park Slope, Brooklyn, New York.  They love it there.  The subways are great, the bars and restaurants are great, Prospect Park is great.

Jenny's lived in Brooklyn since May of 2001, when she moved in with Kira after they graduated from NYU.  They lived in a tiny little apartment with an elevator that opened directly into it.  From one angle, it looked really scary:

After that, they left Park Slope for awhile and moved into a GIGANTIC Windsor Terrace apartment with Aviva.  Eventually Aviva left to move to Montana and Jodi took her place.  Jodi still lives there, but both Kira and Jenny are back in Park Slope.

James moved to Brooklyn in August of 2003, just days after the blackout that nearly everyone agrees was great fun.  Shortly afterwards, James and Jenny moved into the apartment they're still at now.  Thanks to Irv and Shirley for furnishing the place.

Here's a website with map of Park Slope, Brooklyn.  Click on an intersection to see a more detailed map with the names of businesses.  The design is kind of ugly, but the information is good.

And in case you're interested, a listing of Park Slope blogs.

That website with the localized maps and businesses is really good. I could see how that would be very helpful.

Who DOESN'T think the blackout was fun?

It paved the way for my arrival! Still bummed I missed it, but the city shrouding itself in shadows like a bride in a wedding dress was apt.
